My Personal Journey
Though there were great times too, I grew up in a family shaped by alcoholism, depression, and codependency, and by my early twenties I was struggling with a severe anxiety disorder called cyclical vomiting syndrome. My body forced me to make a change. At 25, I got sober, started therapy and had a short affair with Lexapro. I learned how to be comfortable in my own skin without having to alter my state.
What began as a mission to manage anxiety became a much deeper journey into self-awareness, emotional regulation, nervous system healing, and authentic connection. In my thirties, I discovered improv, which transformed my relationship with anxiety and deepened my listening skills. This journey led me to clown training, where I practiced presence, vulnerability, and embracing failure. Through these experiences, I peeled away layers of fear and anxiety, uncovering greater self-acceptance and compassion.
Then I added on coaching training at Blue Mesa, where I got built up with knowledge about neuroscience, mindfulness, mental models, emotions, and the way all these systems work together to create our reality. My coaching training has had a major impact on the way I teach and interact with people in general. It deepened my capacity to meet people exactly where they’re at and appreciate that everyone is exactly as they should be at any given moment.
Now, I embrace life with curiosity and excitement, helping others do the same through my coaching. By integrating energetic practices, meditation, and creative techniques, I guide individuals on their path to emotional wellness, empowering them to connect authentically, accept themselves, and face life’s challenges with bravery and joy.
